Making Table Tennis Table for the Outdoors

People normally play the game of table tennis indoors. But if the weather is too hot outside, this can be done outdoors.

All the players have to do is bring the table into the garage. If there isn’t that much room, this can be done in the backyard instead. The most important thing is finding a hard flat surface so that everyone can play this game properly.

Here are two tips that won’t make it difficult for the people to bring everything outside.

1. It is best if the table has wheels on its feet. This will make it easier to push around should this be transferred to any location on the home.

2. The table should also be collapsible. Pushing it is one thing but if it can’t be collapsed, it will be very difficult to try to make this pass through the door.

People do not always have to play in a 9 x 5 foot table in order to enjoying playing table tennis outdoors. A table that is longer or shorter will do as long a net can be placed in the middle.

Most nets have a special lock that is screwed on to the table that can be removed after the game. This means the people can use this for a few hours and return everything just like it was before without anyone ever knowing.

This is very convenient for those who cant afford to buy a genuine ping-pong table since the cheapest one in the market costs about $500.Since this is too expensive, the person who has some skills in carpeting can make a rectangular shaped table tennis table instead.

The individual wound first need to draw the blue prints and assess the number of wood, nails and other materials that will be needed. When everything is ready, its time to go to the hardware store and buy everything so work may begin.

The wood should be cut first using a saw. People who have powered one should use safety goggles so that the splinters and dust will not get into the eyes of the person working on it. The hammer and nails should then be brought up so the part can be stuck together.

Sand paper should be used next to smoothen the surface. The person can put the green color using a paintbrush, a roller or a spray gun. It is advisable to give it two coats to make sure it is properly layered.

The finishing touch will be putting the white lines, which will serve as the end zone. The person should make the area the use a small paintbrush so that the lines are straight.

The task of building the table for use outdoors could take a day or maybe two to finish. When it is ready, the person can bring out the net, the ball and the paddles so that everyone can have fun.

The table should be stored properly when it is not being used. It is also advisable to put a tarp over it so it will not get dirty.

Table tennis tables don’t have to be bought from the store just so that it can be played at home. The person can do it or hire a carpenter to help out in making this possible.
